We expect the results of ICL surgery to last forever.
Is it likely I will need a new prescription?
One of the main advantages of ICL is that you still can have a top-up treatment. If we do not achieve your target and you still have a small prescription after the surgery, we can exchange the lens for another one. Alternatively, we can perform a top-up procedure using a laser as the residual prescription will be very small.
How long does it last?
When you get to the age of 45-50, you develop presbyopia. However, now there are various options to manage presbyopia. In the future, we could exchange the ICL for a different power ICL to correct presbyopia and the prescription itself.
