What is eyelash treatment and when is eyelash treatment needed?

Eyelash disease is not very well recognized, although it’s common among patients. This is a disease where the eyelashes either are not growing, falling off or actually going in the wrong direction.

The treatment could be simple by just reviewing your diet and your lifestyle. It could be due to lack of sleep, not enough resting or it could be a disease affecting the lid margin – the root of the eyelashes. If simple treatment is not enough, then the next step would be to see if there’s any cause of the disease and treat that. Sometimes it’s just blepharitis that needs to be addressed. Often there will be eyelashes that turn in and rub against the cornea. This can be treated and sometimes requires surgical intervention. It’s a small procedure but can cure the disease.
