I started my private practice back in 2012 because I wanted to deliver a very high quality of care and introduce the most advanced technology to improve safety and good outcomes for my patients.
When I was in medical school, I was fascinated by the eye, as a small organ connected to the brain, and it has all these amazing functions. I wanted to specialise in something that combined medicine and surgery, and at the same time, require those microsurgical skills. Ophthalmology or eye speciality was the favourite for me. That’s why I chose to be an ophthalmologist.
Throughout the training and the process to become a qualified consultant, I have gone through various stages where I learnt more and more about the eyes, and that just made me love what I do more and more.
For me, it’s very rewarding and satisfying to restore vision for patients who have lost the gift of sight, especially if those patients are children. While pediatric ophthalmology is my special interest, I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be able to treat various ages, adults and children, with various eye conditions.
