Flashes And Floaters

Are you experiencing small shapes or shadows drifting across your field of vision, or sudden flashes of light that take you by surprise? These phenomena, known as floaters and flashes, are common and often a normal part of aging. However, they can sometimes signal more serious eye conditions. At Eye Clinic London, we're committed to providing comprehensive care for those experiencing these symptoms, ensuring your eye health is thoroughly assessed and managed.

Understanding Flashes and Floaters

Floaters are small, dark shapes that can look like spots, thread-like strands, or squiggly lines. They are actually tiny clumps of gel or cells inside the vitreous, the clear gel-like fluid that fills the inside of your eye. Flashes, on the other hand, appear as flashes of light in the vision and are usually caused by the vitreous gel pulling on the retina.
